• A Star Vanished Into a Black Hole — Astronomers Watched It Happen

Astronomers have watched a star in the Andromeda Galaxy simply vanish — collapsing directly into a black hole without any supernova explosion. This extraordinary discovery, published in Science, could mean there are far more black holes out there than we thought.

In today's episode we also cover the SpaceX Crew-12 launch to the ISS, the first-ever flight of Europe's Ariane 64 rocket carrying Amazon Leo satellites, another booster anomaly for ULA's Vulcan rocket, a weird inside-out planetary system, and NASA's race to save the Swift observatory.
